Pacific Hydraulics and Keypower Systems work together to overhaul a Copex Crush & Shear machine

Pacific Hydraulics is proud to be a strategic partner of Keypower Systems, supplying them with quality Danfoss products and offering support and advice on hydraulic components.
Keypower Systems are a 40 year old Australian company, operating out of Garbutt in the city of Townsville QLD. The company specialises in engine servicing and rebuilds across essential Australian industries, including mining, transport and marine.
A recent job saw Keypower Systems overhauling a Copex Crush and Shear machine, a hard working unit, generally used for shearing and compacting scrap metal. While overhauling the hydraulics of the unit, it was determined that the current hydraulic pumps would either need substantial work to return them to a satisfactory condition or would require replacing. The decision was made to replace the worn units.
In order to return the unit to good working order, Pacific Hydraulics recommended the installation of 2 Danfoss D1P260 pumps, along with the complementing auxiliary vane pumps. The units were set up in a Pacific Hydraulics workshop and then shipped to Keypower for onsite installation.
The Copex Crush and Shear machine, which had already returned many years of faithful service, is back in operation, with the functions governed by the hydraulic pumps back to full performance, a big difference to the inefficient state of the worn units, removed by Keypower Systems.
